moved the comments to the front page, this is usually a "faux pas" because the comments clutter up the page, but I don't think it's much of a problem here since no one leaves comments! . Peace out, JP

Climbed Mounts Monroe, Washington, and Clay today. Washington is big, the other two where just little bumps. They were two of New Hampshire's uh, 4..."ers" Thats washington there from the parking lot. Pics on the right

94 percent humidity? good thing I upgraded my AC to plexiglass last night. Much better than duct tape and a trashbag..
After you check out the cool panorama below check out some not as cool pictures of various trails and wildlife here in CT. Or don't, I won't hate you.. button on the right.. Also, it's a big pain to make a link back to my page on the picture pages, so if you just hit reload it'll come back here.

A nice panorama taken by the madre of the backyard in Florence.. There's still alot of snow there, I guess the place isn't going to burn down this August after all.

Sweet Time Trial This Morning...

Image
For those of you who care: 1. Armstrong 2. Basso 3. Ullrich Armstrong beat Ullrich by 23 seconds in the final time trial. Basso lost more than that, but didn't lose the overall 2nd place..

Hincapie is the man and has the coolest shades

George Hincapie won his first stage of the Tour De France today, It was pretty cool to watch him win after being Lance's right hand man for so many years. He shook his head in disbelief as he crossed the finish line. "this is a dream for me" he said. I'd rather see him win than boring old lance any day.

Well, yippee

Case Mountain again. I think this is my favorite spot in CT so far. Hartford is off in the haze somewhere.

The incredible view from the top of wasp rock. It's funny, the topo maps look the same, but the graduations are like 1 foot instead of 5 or 15 or whatever

4th

Went to Bristol, RI for the fourth of july this weekend. They had a parade this morning, and apparently they take the 4th very seriously. It was their 220th annual parade. Check out this link if you doubt me. There were alot of really good marching bands from Minnisota, and some really cool old fire engines. One of them was even pulled by a team of 6 clydesdales. Those things are huge, taller than me by a long shot. The patriots also had the superbowl trophy and a couple of cheerleaders. Good stuff, It's a little bit more patriotic around here then back in MT or CA, but much crappier fireworks.
