Ski Trip, day one

Image
Went to Lost trail, the first stop of our multi state, 9 day ski trip trip, here's some GPS paths of our path down from the top on our hike. There is actually a lift to the top, which you can see on the second picture. But it wasn't running because it was too windy. So we walked to the top instead..It was worth it though, great snow it was.. This is a view from the "right" of the topo. Lost trail pass, MT

The squirrels learned that if they knocked the bird bath over they could jump to the bird feeder. It was funny watching the first one get up the guts to go for it. His friend watched four or five jumps and then decided to go for it.

The seven-times Tour de France winner lost a preliminary hearing and will be tried in Simeoni's home town of Latina, near Rome, on 7 March. Armstrong criticised Simeoni in an interview with Le Monde in 2003. The 34-year-old American does not face going to prison and will not have to attend the trial.

Just got back from four days snowboarding at Rogers Pass in British Columbia. Here is a picture of the hut we were staying at taken at night (when it cleared up) Good snow and lots of hiking up hill with a great payoff. I'll post a bunch more photos on Webshots this evening.

Wow

It sounds like science fiction: a brain nurtured in a Petri dish learns to pilot a fighter plane as scientists develop a new breed of "living" computer. But in groundbreaking experiments in a Florida laboratory that is exactly what is happening. The "brain", grown from 25,000 neural cells extracted from a single rat embryo, has been taught to fly an F-22 jet simulator by scientists at the University of Florida. the whole article here
