Bike Rides

Some pictures from a few rides, one on Tuesday and one Today. Me! at Rampart Reservoir Rich (my boss) It sure would be ironic that after millions of years this thing fell on me when I was pretending to hold it up.. Checkin' out the scenery. That's Garden of the Gods I'm looking at. White and red Lyons Sandstone spines to be more precise.

Walked up to watch the Pikes Peak hill climb last Sunday... It was pretty cool to watch a 1000 horsepower rally car roar by with a helicopter above it in a tundra at 13,000 feet.. It also involved hiking up to the "Devils Playground" near the summit of Pikes Peak which was quite an ordeal in itself. Bacala enjoyed hiking quite a bit, and easily kept up with my hypoxic stagger up the last 400 feet of the climb..

Stuff

Things are going well here, we are really enjoying the new house and all that. Here are some pictures from two rides I did. One Tuesday and one last Sunday. Sunday was at a nearby open space, not the best or biggest place for riding a bike, but had some good views and some nice albeit short trail. Second ride was behind Mt. Herman, right next to Synthes. I rode some lesser known trails and didn't see another soul the whole time. I'm pretty happy to be so close to such good stuff. There are hundreds of miles of trails back here for me to explore. Could take a while. Oh, and here are some flowers and other nature pictures. Happy 4th everyone! I've lost alot of tubes to these little guys.. Velvety deer in the open space in central CO Springs
