Walked up to watch the Pikes Peak hill climb last Sunday... It was pretty cool to watch a 1000 horsepower rally car roar by with a helicopter above it in a tundra at 13,000 feet..
It also involved hiking up to the "Devils Playground" near the summit of Pikes Peak which was quite an ordeal in itself. Bacala enjoyed hiking quite a bit, and easily kept up with my hypoxic stagger up the last 400 feet of the climb..
