Stuff

A few pictures. The first two are from the starlight ride I did last weekend. 1500 people riding through CO Springs in the middle of the night. Made for an interesting night for some of the drunk people leaving the bar at 2:00. Gathering at the start: A picture from the end of the ride in garden of the gods. Racing down the twisty roads in that park was pretty awsome. And an unrealated photo: our wine rack.. Need a bit more population, but we're working on it..

New Blogger editor, just a test..  I'll post something better than an old picture of the best cat in the world later this weekend..

Happenings

So, our internet is back up and here our some pictures of the new pad and some other stuff. Front: 4102 Garrett Pl Colorado Springs, CO 80907 Having a grill and patio set is great.. In fact I'm about to go out there and grill up some dinner.. Bacala looking tired and sad after a long day of looking tired and sad.. I rode in the Starlight Spectacular last night, a 20 mile ride through Downtown and sidetown colorado springs to benefit the trails and open space coalition. It was a bunch of fun, sorta cool to ride through downtown along with 1500 other riders at 1am.. More on that later....

Rescue Mission

Rescued a baby cottontail from a confused house cat last night.. It was pretty cute, hopefully it made it through the night without becoming that cat's friend yet again. This wasn't my picture, but pretty much looks exactly like the little fella..

Fun

So I did a similar loop to last time in North Cheyenne Canyon. or Canon with the little tilda thingy above the "n". It was a long ride, took me just under 6 hours at a fairly leisurely pace. The snow is almost all gone, I only hit one patch the entire ride I had to go through. I posted a bunch of pictures, so check 'em out. There was still a lot of walking the bike uphill through rock gardens: And then it got worse.. Views were rewarding though.. Weird deadfall at the top.. almost 11,000 feet! Flowers up there too: Cool mossy trail on the way down. I think I went through three distinct areas: alpine tundra, decomposed granite and pinyon pine, and evergreen forest with pondarosas. And some sweet trail for the ending.. I tried to get a better map, but failed. So here's what it looked like, I think the elevation is pretty good, at least it doesn't exaggerate according to the software.. The end.
