Stuff

Things are going well here, we are really enjoying the new house and all that. Here are some pictures from two rides I did. One Tuesday and one last Sunday. Sunday was at a nearby open space, not the best or biggest place for riding a bike, but had some good views and some nice albeit short trail. Second ride was behind Mt. Herman, right next to Synthes. I rode some lesser known trails and didn't see another soul the whole time. I'm pretty happy to be so close to such good stuff. There are hundreds of miles of trails back here for me to explore. Could take a while. Oh, and here are some flowers and other nature pictures. Happy 4th everyone! I've lost alot of tubes to these little guys.. Velvety deer in the open space in central CO Springs

So, our internet is back up and here our some pictures of the new pad and some other stuff. Front: 4102 Garrett Pl Colorado Springs, CO 80907 Having a grill and patio set is great.. In fact I'm about to go out there and grill up some dinner.. Bacala looking tired and sad after a long day of looking tired and sad.. I rode in the Starlight Spectacular last night, a 20 mile ride through Downtown and sidetown colorado springs to benefit the trails and open space coalition. It was a bunch of fun, sorta cool to ride through downtown along with 1500 other riders at 1am.. More on that later....

We stayed the night in Pueblo Saturday night (interesting town). It seemed deserted for some reason, who knows. The historic district had a bunch of redone old buildings right down to repainting the advertisements you always see faded away into the bricks on these sorts of buildings. That morning we drove down to the dunes through La Veta Pass into the San Louis valley. This remined me of rural Wyoming or Montana, deserted and really pretty. Blanca Peak and Mount Lindsey dominated the landscape rising from to 14,000 feet from the valley floor. After arriving at the dunes, we enjoyed a full day of walking around in Medeno Creek, frollicking, getting sunburn, jumping off of dunes, etc, etc.. After eating a a Navajo Taco at the nearby suprisingly non-sketchy restaurant we returned to the dunes to climb the second highest one, High Dune, before s...
